Hey Guys, AJ here, heres my review of The Knife Of Never Letting Go:

This is the Cover artof The Knife of Never Letting Go

Synopsis:

Todd Hewitt is the last boy in Prentisstown.
But Prentisstown isn’t like other towns. Everyone can hear everyone else’s thoughts in a constant, overwhelming, never-ending Noise. There is no privacy. There are no secrets.
Or are there?
Just one month away from the birthday that will make him a man, Todd unexpectedly stumbles upon a spot of complete silence.
Which is impossible.
Prentisstown has been lying to him.
And now he’s going to have to run…

So heres my review:

This book was very captivating, not quite my favorite, but it still makes my Pix list (see my Pix at Athena Jane’s Pix page on the menu).

I thought that the storyline was pretty imaginative, note like other things that I have read, and I laughed a bit on how some words were purposely mispelled to prove that the town is far from highly-educated (thru instead of through), and the whole Noise thing was pretty dang awesome. I loved how the sea of noise always goes on.

Now onto my favorite category: the romance. I thought that Todd and Viola had an undenyable connection, but at this age (both are only thirteen), love cannot really be true, can it? So, I’m hoping that they will be older in the next book, which I have yet to find.

So, overall, I think it was a 5/5 stars. I hope to find the second book, The Ask and the Answer, soon.

Hey Y’all, AJ Here,

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner Cover Art

Here’s a synopsis of The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner:

Fans of The Twilight Saga will be enthralled by this riveting story of Bree Tanner, a character first introduced in Eclipse, and the darker side of the newborn vampire world she inhabits. In another irresistible combination of danger, mystery, and romance, Stephenie Meyer tells the devastating story of Bree and the newborn army as they prepare to close in on Bella Swan and the Cullens, following their encounter to its unforgettable conclusion.

This book was well…short. It was good, packed with details, and had a good cast of characters, but it just wasn’t long enough for me to get the gist of the situation.

Im other words, I rate this a 4/5 becasue it was good, but Eclipse was better.

Although, I do prefer Bree’s POV over Bella’s. (Sorry, but Bella bugs me)

Read it, if you wish, I;m just warning you: It’s a short read.

Review of Shiver

Hey Guys, AJ here,

Cover Art For Shiver

Here’s a synopsis of Shiver: by Maggie Stiefvater:

For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—is a chilling presence she can’t seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human … until the cold makes him shift back again.

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It’s her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human–or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.

This book totally took my breath away. It’s almost (key on almost) as good as Beautiful Creatures. And the cover art? GO-R-GE-OU-S! I fell in love with the plot, the characters, and the cliffhanger ending. Good thing that the sequel will be released in July.

So here, you’ve got Grace, a junior in high school that has one been attacked by the wolves of Mercy Falls, many years ago. And she has one wolf that she has always had a connection with: Sam. Gorgeous, sweet, half-man-half-wolf Sam.

Grace becomes obsessed with the wolves over the years, and what she finds out after a classmate is killed is that the wolves are anything but ordinary: they are werewolves.

At first, I thought that the whole werewolf chiz would ba a pathetic repeat of Twilight (since I can’t stand any sort of Twilight werewolf – Jacob Black, I;m looking at you!), but I was pleasantly surprised by the story.

SO, I rate this a 5/5 stars (or in this case, *’s)

In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

This book is my first review because it is my all-time, forever, without a doubt favorite book. The plot is engrossing from the very first page, and the descriptions make you feel like you really are in the rainy, secluded town of Gatlin. Each character is well developed, written do that you get the impression that you know them personally.

Kami Garcia and Magaret Stohl, the world needs more writers like you!

Read Beautiful Creatures. You will not regret it for one moment.
