Hey Guys, AJ here, heres my review of The Knife Of Never Letting Go:
Synopsis:
Todd Hewitt is the last boy in Prentisstown.
But Prentisstown isn’t like other towns. Everyone can hear everyone else’s thoughts in a constant, overwhelming, never-ending Noise. There is no privacy. There are no secrets.
Or are there?
Just one month away from the birthday that will make him a man, Todd unexpectedly stumbles upon a spot of complete silence.
Which is impossible.
Prentisstown has been lying to him.
And now he’s going to have to run…
So heres my review:
This book was very captivating, not quite my favorite, but it still makes my Pix list (see my Pix at Athena Jane’s Pix page on the menu).
I thought that the storyline was pretty imaginative, note like other things that I have read, and I laughed a bit on how some words were purposely mispelled to prove that the town is far from highly-educated (thru instead of through), and the whole Noise thing was pretty dang awesome. I loved how the sea of noise always goes on.
Now onto my favorite category: the romance. I thought that Todd and Viola had an undenyable connection, but at this age (both are only thirteen), love cannot really be true, can it? So, I’m hoping that they will be older in the next book, which I have yet to find.
So, overall, I think it was a 5/5 stars. I hope to find the second book, The Ask and the Answer, soon.
